TAIC Advisory Board
The primary objective of the TAIC Advisory Board has been to build on the success over the last sixteen years by ensuring the on-going strength and integrity of the eco-system. Drawing on their extensive experience across institutional investing, family offices and boutique asset management, the TAIC Advisory Board will work closely with the TAIC eco-system to further strengthen the quality of manager selection, investor engagement and meaningful introductions. As always, TAIC remains committed to bringing together high-conviction boutique investment managers and carefully selected allocators through trusted, long-term relationships built on quality rather than quantity.

Candy Cheung
Candy has over 20 years of experience investing in hedge funds. She founded DanaLab in 2025, a strategic consulting firm dedicated to supporting the hedge fund ecosystem through bespoke engagements with boutique hedge funds, family offices, and other institutions within the hedge fund industry. Prior to establishing DanaLab, Candy was a Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at SAIL Advisors, a multi-billion-dollar family office based in Hong Kong. During her 14 years at SAIL, she was responsible for the Asia fund of funds portfolio, which delivered superior returns across market cycles and was a member of the investment committee for the firm's overall portfolio. Prior to SAIL, Candy allocated to Asian hedge funds at GAM, a multi-billion-dollar global fund of funds headquartered in London, worked as a regulator on investment products at the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong. She began her career as an M&A analyst at Merrill Lynch in New York. Candy graduated from Wellesley College, US, with a BA in Economics and Japanese Language and is a CFA charter holder.
Varda Lotan
Varda founded Lotan & Partners in 2022 to consult on strategy, distribution, operations, and marketing. Until September 2021 she was on the Executive Committee, Co-Head and Senior Vice President, Europe/Asia Distribution with Fiera Capital based in London. Varda has more than 30 years of experience in the asset management industry, working internationally. In 2000 she was one of the founding members of Charlemagne Capital, which grew from an Eastern European-focused asset management boutique into a Global Emerging Markets asset manager. At Charlemagne Capital Varda was responsible for the leadership of the sales and marketing team. She became part of the Fiera Capital team in 2016 post the acquisition of Charlemagne Capital where she was an Executive Director, Co-Head and Senior Vice President, Europe/Asia Distribution. At Fiera Varda led global growth initiatives, business development and marketing across Fiera Capital’s traditional and alternative business in Europe & Asia and was on the global product, marketing, and distribution committees.
Karl Gysin
Karl joined Swiss Financial Services in 2003 as Director of Strategic Projects and became CEO of the Swiss Financial Services Group in 2010. Prior to joining Swiss Financial Services, he worked at Hewlett Packard as a senior consultant for the Financial Services Industry (“FSI”) practice and was the global leader for the FSI Knowledge Management program. Karl received his master’s degree (lic. oec. HSG) from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) and his undergraduate degree from the University of Zurich (Switzerland).
